Following ongoing representations submitted on behalf of commuters and elderly residents, the National Transport Authority has confirmed two additional daily connecting services on our regional bus corridor.
What is Changing:
- Earlier Morning Departures: Enabling workers and third-level students to reach early morning trains into regional centres and Dublin.
- Weekend Night Services: Safe, reliable transport for young people returning home from socialising in town centers.
- Hospital Route Link: Direct stop at the Regional Hospital main concourse eliminating difficult multi-stage connections.
Reliable public transport is fundamental to balanced regional development and tackling rural isolation. I will continue monitoring service punctuality and driver capacity as the new timetables roll out.
