Public Service Biography
Cllr. Aoife Brennan was first elected to Shannon Municipal District to represent the Glenbawn Local Electoral Area with a clear promise: to bring energetic, hands-on representation to local government.
A lifelong resident of the district, Aoife has worked across community enterprise, sports voluntary groups, and local planning advocacy. She believes local councils work best when councillors remain deeply connected to grassroots residents.
On the council, Aoife actively serves on the Planning & Strategic Policy Committee (SPC) and the Environment, Climate Action & Agriculture SPC, fighting tirelessly for accelerated social and affordable housing, safer roads, revitalised playgrounds, and vibrant town centers.
